VIBRAMOOV PHYSIO THE POTENTIALITIES OF SENSORIMOTOR THERAPY

Vibramoov Physio is a sensorimotor therapy tool designed by Techno Concept. It acts as a “recovery accelerator” and “provides an effective and innovative therapeutic solution in functional rehabilitation”, explains Grégory Mesplié, physiotherapist and orthopaedic specialist specializing in pathologies of the hand, ambassador of the brand. According to him, sensorimotor therapy opens up perspectives, especially in the treatment of chronic pain. “It offers early and noninvasive solutions that optimize patient recovery and improve their quality of life.”

4 modes of action
Vibramoov Physio integrates 4 modes of treatment (mobility, analgesia, tonicity and spasticity) and can be used for a large number of pathologies:
neurological involvement, fractures and sprains, SDRC, tendonitis, balance disorders, ankylosis, back pain and sciatica, neuralgia, phantom pains..

The “mobility” mode helps to reset the movement.
Functional proprioceptive stimulations (FPS) are applied at the muscle-tendon junction. They mechanically stimulate the neuromuscular spindles by mimicking the sensory signals of natural movements. This neurosensory stimulation activates specific areas and allows patients to feel natural movements. The CNS responds by initiating a motor response corresponding to the perceived sensation.
With the “analgesia” mode, focal stimulations are used for the treatment of pain by the stimulation of skin mechanoreceptors and the gate control effect.
The “spasticity” mode is useful for regulating muscle activity. The stimulations in the middle of the muscle antagonist to the one that is spastic are applied to induce increased activity in the stimulated muscle and reciprocal inhibition of the muscle antagonist/spastic. Thanks to the vibrations, very quickly (in 1 or 2 sessions) a relaxation is obtained that improves the quality of life of the patient.
Finally, the “tonicity” mode allows you to recover muscle strength. For more efficiency, the patient should contract the muscles concerned at the same time as the stimulations.

“Recreate the illusion of movement”
Grégory Mesplié is “always on the lookout for innovations” that can complement his therapeutic arsenal. He was “immediately interested in Vibramoov Physio because it allows to stimulate the brain and neuromuscular zones in a gentle, non-invasive but effective way. This technology recreates the illusion of movement even when the limb is immobilized, which is particularly useful at the beginning of rehabilitation,” he says. For the rehabilitation of the hand and upper limb, it has several advantages: “By intervening from the first days of immobilization, we limit the risks of loss of plasticity and reactivity of the motor cortex.
With well-dosed vibrations, the neural pathways are activated without damaging fragile tissues. This allows for early and effective treatment.”
Beyond the classic pathologies, he uses this device to treat patients with complex regional pain syndromes (CRPS), for whom all movement is impossible as the
pain is unbearable. Gradually, “the sessions reduce the intensity of the pain signal received by the brain and restore the patient’s sensory perception, thus improving
their quality of life”.
